Who We Are
Grace Community Church began in 1987 when Pastor Gary Hutchison invited a few people to his home to pray and live out the mission given by Jesus to his followers about 2,000 years ago.
Our Mission (Acts 2:41-47)
1. Worship - Loving the Lord with all our hearts.
2. Ministry - Loving our neighbors as much as we love ourselves.
3. Evangelism - Going and telling others about what Jesus has done for them.
4. Fellowship - Helping people get connected to one another.
5. Discipleship - Teaching people about Jesus’ ways.
What We Value Drives What We Do
We value our relationship with God, want to experience His presence, hear His voice and follow Him.
We value unity and are convinced that all who belong to Christ are one in His Body, the Church. We aim to maintain unity by honoring all who call on Jesus' name.
We value the mercy of God and believe that mercy is fundamental to all that God does for us. As a response to the mercy we have been given we want to extend mercy to others.
We value servant leadership and believe that being a leader at Grace Community just means you get to serve more people. The elders and pastors here want to be examples of humility, selflessness, grace, love for one another, and constant encouragement.
We value simplicity and wish to do nothing "for religious effect,” but rather to be just as real and authentic on Sundays as we are every other day of the week.
We value diversity and are grateful that God has given us people from over 50 different countries as a part of our church body.
One of Pastor Gary’s earliest prayers was that if there were people in our area that fell unwanted, they would come to Grace and be welcomed and accepted here. That is why on our web site the first words you will find are “Come as you are. You'll be loved.”
We hope you will visit us this week.
